Mac Freeware to Help Deal with Windows Files

http://live.pirillo.com – My hard drives, much like yours, are full of files collected over the years. I’ve used every operating system you can think of. Sometimes, I create files that are only available for one operating system or another. This, of course, creates headaches at times. How do I deal with this? OS X is my primary operating system now, and there are thankfully several free programs available for a Mac that make accessing and using my Windows files much easier. Yeah that’s true IN OPPOSITE WORLD!

  2. All I’m saying is …
All I’m saying is that they don’t have crappy specs. New consumer iMacs are quad core and up to 27″. You can run Crisis on it at 30 fps. Same with an older MBP.

Windows seven should be less of a pig than vista, (Until the SPs come out) so enjoy it while it last. Have a nice Halloween.

DUDE THERE ARE SO MANY THINGS WRONG WITH YOUR COMMENTS. he didn’t write and program office for mac, iWork, or OS X buy himself.
you know what, i’m not even gonna argue with you. it’s not worth it. you don’t deserve to use any computer.

    damn, he must have …
damn, he must have a old computer or something with his permissions, or really low hard drive space.

  7. Varquez7, I don’t …
Varquez7, I don’t think you know this, but if Steve Jobs didn’t do the things he did, the world would be different today. He invented the first personal computer (of course Bill gates followed shortly after). You may not like apple but you must understand that this guy changed the world. Period.

    Yes, you were …
Yes, you were barging in. You make no sense. I replied to another guy, and then you decide that “I’m the best person in the world, so I can go and talk s*** to this guy.” You should take your own advice one in a while.

barging in? LOL. This is a thread on youtube. Not your private space. We’re all here to put our two sense in. If you don’t like it go somewhere else.

    That’s still rather …
That’s still rather expensive. Not the best OS that’s for sure, my cousin’s Mac crashes about 20 times every 30 mins. You shouldn’t go barging into someone else’s conversation by the way…

  14. NEW MACBOOK PROS …
NEW MACBOOK PROS 1199 chach bag.

Upgrade ram to 4 from the standard 2 gigs. Best OS, Best Developers.

1199 not including student discount. They rock.

    I had a really …
I had a really crappy experience with my cousin’s Mac Book Air, thats mostly why i dont like them.

  16. Oh, believe me, I …
Oh, believe me, I can clearly see why people don’t think Macs are worth it. For me, I think it’s just about convenience. Macs are better for me personally. Specs and customability don’t matter as much to me as smooth-running, easy-to-use operating systems.

So while I still consider it a matter or preference, I do see your side of it. Macs, from a customizable and specification standpoint are indeed overpriced, but some of us think it’s worth it for the user-friendliness of them.

    But still, why pay …
But still, why pay that 3,000 if you start off with crappy specs anyway?

PCs start off way cheaper and have better specs. Not to mention they can actually play games.

  18. You do realize that …
You do realize that RAM and HDD can be upgraded very easily and cheaply, right?

Myself, my new MacBook Pro will be upgraded to 4gigs of RAM and 320gigs of Hard Drive space for under $100 extra. Sure, the computers themselves are more expensive, but they have a better lifespan then most other PCs, unless you count the higher-end PCs, in which case you’re paying over $1,000 either way you go, and Macs can run all Operating Systems.

It’s a matter of opinion, if you ask me.

  19. crackshotandmoe34 on June 28th, 2010 at 4:00 pm

    Not really. They …
Not really. They have really specs. 2.33 GHz processor with 2GB of RAM for $3,000. They suck and are overpriced.

  20. No, because they …
No, because they are better computers.

  21. crackshotandmoe34 on June 28th, 2010 at 4:00 pm

    Why? Because they are overpriced?

…So? Didn’t Bill Gates say that he copied like…was it 48? features for Vista sort of directly from OS?

Like Justin55723 said, iWork exists. It’s just fine.
