Looking for a freeware program to End unwanted background processes?

I am annoyed by dap, real player etc loading in the background when I reboot my computer. Please suggest a freeware which can remove unwanted procsses.

You did not list you OS, are you using XP or Vista..?

I’m going to guess XP.
Startup Inspector will do the job!

Turn of everything that is not necessary.

If I guessed the wrong OS, then click my user name shoot me an E-mail & I will send you a program to use for Vista.

Good Luck!

You can disable starup processes using msconfig. Go to start, run, type "msconfig" (without quotes). Go to the startup tab, uncheck the things you don’t wwant to start up. You can do this or download CCleaner from ccleaner.com (spyware free site) this program fixes registry issues, cleans up browser history and much more. It also allows you to disable and even delete startup programs you don’t want running.
